I've been a big fan of the great outdoors all my life and I noticed every time I'm off on a trek in the south forty , without a camera , I always run across something needing to be photographed ( a fawn, big buck or a mother bear and four cubs ), it never fails, does it? This is one reason I got into photography as much as I have in my life.

Take A Hike !
If your a novice at hiking but want get away from it all , it's best to start locally with short day hikes and a light load. Conditioning is the key to hiking , your body needs to get acclimated to the pack on your back and your feet need to get used to walking with weight, otherwise you'll end up with some bad experiences, for example : blisters, sore muscles, etc.
